Howie

While at the dinner I sketched my friend Howie. Oddly enough he was not posing just sitting there talking and eating. There is more of him as a person in the sketch while he was sitting being natural than if he was a frozen form of himself (posing). As an artist the job is a little more challenging because the natural tendency is to chase the direction, change the drawing as the head tilts thus changing the center axis i.e.; eyes, nose, mouth. The idea in drawing and in life I think is to sit back and be a little patient and it works out, most of the time. The other drawings were not as good as this one. Practice, practice practice. . .
